Application Builder & Templates

Create your own applications with Application Builder - no code or technical knowledge required. Anyone can build an application. Add your fields, choose your layout, keep simple default settings or move into more advanced areas to have more granular control. Save your new app and start adding content. Applications can then be linked from the main menu or from within sites. Create templates for ease of future application building.

Team and/or Department Sites

These are like mini-sites within the intranet, specific to groups, teams, departments or projects. You have a lot of functionality and flexibility for building unlimited sites within your business intranet. Simply name your site and then pick and choose what business and social tools you want to include: documents, forms, news, blogs, calendars, idea sharing, opinion polls, surveys, see who on the team is out office and when they will be back, embed videos, feature team successes.

Document and Policy Management

A centralized document management system within your business intranet. Document & policies management is a robust application that puts all of your company documents, policies and manuals in one location for employees to retrieve. Organize and secure through multi-level folder structures, similar to Windows Explorer. Choose to attach files or use our wiki-like web docs. Tag your documents and policies, delegate ownership and management of folders and files. Full versioning with check in-checkout capability. Full-text search will ensure documents and policies are quickly found within global searches. Add social tools like commenting, feedback, ratings and sharing.

Document and Policy Revisions

Part of document and policy management is ensuring up-to-date revisions and changes. You can enable our scheduled review process, automatically contacting authors to alert them of reviews. You can also auto-archive documents and policies based on a pre-defined date. Bulk multiple file uploads eases the addition of documents and policies onto the business intranet. You can also enable read confirmation on specific documents and policies. Employees need to checkbox that they have read the material. Send alerts to employees from the document or policy reminding them to read the content.

Form Builder

Build any type of online form with our point-and-click Form Builder. Employees fill out the forms through the business intranet. Form submissions/responses can be reported on and searched. Control your form layout and fields. Add collapsible sections with headers. Create secured forms and you control who can submit responses. Create surveys and tests. Form workflows allow you to create multi-level approval and notification stages. Pull in managers, department contacts, supervisors and final sign-off within each workflow stage of approval. Track workflow and keep historical references on all submissions.

Active Directory Integration

A huge time-saver for IT, MS Active Directory integration will sync your AD users onto the business intranet (including AD groups and managers). We also have single sign-on so that employee network logins are passed to us and we automatically log them into the software. Data is synced so when AD changes, so does the corresponding user data within our Social Employee Directory. You can limit the AD sync to particular OUs of a single AD domain or populate from multiple domains in a trust relationship. We have an org chart tool within the Employee Directory that will sync AD managers for the org chart and the "who reports to who" feature.

Outlook MS Exchange Sync

Exchange mailbox calendars can be pulled directly onto your business intranet and aggregated onto one calendar view. Schedule new events straight from this home page widget. Tell your organization about corporate and community events, share meeting room or projector bookings, announce office closures.

Calendars

Create multiple business intranet calendars to share special events, project schedules, industry conferences, stat holidays, meeting room bookings, company milestones, activities. Create departmental calendars, resource booking, conferences, track vacations and time off, webinars and presentations. Event color-coding, recurring dates, conflict checking and custom alerts. Employees can add events to their personal Outlook calendar with one click.

Create articles to share company news and keep employees up to date on what's happening in your organization

Company Contacts

Employees can look up stationary supply contacts, vendors, caterers, janitorial services, travel coordinators. Send customized email messages with one click to an individual, or group, of contacts

Employee Training

Schedule training courses, seminars or events and let us handle the student registrations. This is a simple learning management system that automates and helps to organize registrations, waitlists and attendance reporting. Historical student training is captured and can be reported on. Create online learning tools by uploading videos, podcasts or documents. You can even create tests for students to take once they complete their training materials and/or courses.

Job Openings

Create internal opportunities for promotion by sharing current job openings on the business intranet. Employees can apply for open positions, suggest colleagues who may be a good fit for the role, or spread the word, helping you to recruit through word-of-mouth.

KB Articles

Create multiple knowledgebases to store FAQs and how-to's. Create focused KB's that are secured, or open it up for employees to post, comment and share their insights and experience. Fully collaborative and searchable, KB storage helps you to capture intangible knowledge.

Support Desk

For a small IT department or to supplement your existing help desk staff, the Support Desk is an online source for employees to post their issues and submit tickets for techs to investigate and respond. Supervisor roles can review incoming tickets and assign support technicians. Employees can trace and track their outstanding tickets. Public and private notes can be added to tickets and automated notifications are sent via email and through the site alerts.

Library

We're looking towards a greener world but if you do have resources that are not online you can store them in our Library application, along with who to contact to retrieve or sign-out the material

Company Store

Set up inventory items like stationary orders and requests. The Company Store won't provide cash transactions but it will track inventory with an intranet shopping cart utility

Tutorial Builder

A unique tool our Tutorial Builder allows you to create interactive tutorials and demos based on your own branded business intranet. Walk your users through how to perform specific tasks on your live intranet environment. This tool can build tours for new intranet features as you roll them out. Teach employees how to add comments, share and rate content. Offer a tutorial that hand-holds employees how to update their profiles in the directory. Educate new employees on getting started with the intranet using our innovative Tutorial Builder - a hand-holding-walk-you-through-it experience.

Intelligent Widgets / Home Pages

Intelligent Widgets can be added to your business intranet homepage, or department site home pages. Employees can also personalize with widgets within the Social Employee Directory, much like you can with iGoogle. Options include adding weather widgets, employees of the week, intranet content feeds, external RSS feeds, custom message boxes, recently published content, new intranet activity, employee status updates, message board updates, live chat widgets, who's having a birthday or company anniversary, and custom code + much more.

Publishing Workflows

There are bound to be areas of your business intranet that contain sensitive information and where published content requires an approval workflow process. All tools within Intranet Connections allow you to engage an approval workflow to monitor and approve pending content. You choose what areas are open or locked down for approval.

Content Review Dates

A big part of content curation is ensuring that the information on your business intranet is relevant and on target with the needs of the company and employees. To help you with this you can enforce publishers to set review dates on their content. This also helps with content audits and to support governance and publishing guidelines.

Content Archives / Cleanup

Our built-in content archives is a simple and automated system for paring down your content, coupled with an automated cleanup utility. This deletes out-dated content that has a shelf life, based on time intervals; ie: every 3 months, 6 months, a year, etc. IE: calendaring events, blog posts, news articles, ideas & suggestions, employee nominations, potential documents or policies. Archived content goes into an archival area which can be browsed, searched, shared and bookmarked. This moves content out of the mainstream and keeps the site leaner and easier to manage.

Document Read/Agree

Enforce read/agree on all intranet content. Employees must checkmark that they have read and agree. You can customize the "agree" message that is delivered to the employee for the read/agree enforcement. View who has read the content and when. Push out information to employees for them to read through our message wall system, or set alerts.

Impersonate a Login

Intranet admins can impersonate any user login on the intranet with just one click of a button. This allows you to enter the intranet as an end-user and have access to that user's work spaces, ensure security permissions and integrity, troubleshoot issues, and to see the employees interactions. Shadow your end-users to assist in troubleshooting issues.

Granular Security Permissions

Our business intranet framework puts you in control. We avoid the use of wizards because they restrict your freedom. Perform the tasks you need to and in the order you want. Security permissions are very granular offering power and flexibility. Permissions can be role based -- at an individual level or at a group level. You decide who can view, add, edit and delete where. Auditing is available through our add-on Stats Software.

Our add-on Stats Software features robust reporting tools to accurately determine site activity, usage, traffic volume, site popularity and logins.
